Family Photos

Mark and I scheduled family photo day for the one month mile stone or as I like to call it 4 weeks. Just sounds better! We were able to do it when his parents were here so they could get a couple shots in with Olivia. I wont bore anyone with all of the photos but here are a couple of my favorites. We will be sending out copies to the family so not to worry. She is a little poser. Not sure if she will have a career in pictures as she got hot under all the bright lights but she was a trouper.

First Halloween.....

Well yesterday was Olivia's first Holloween. I knew she was too young for the trick or treating thing but Mark and I did get her an outift to wear to hand out candy to the kids. It was a pretty pink little skeleton that glows in the dark. She did manage to wear it for a couple minutes before spitting up so I got the picture below. She did not make it to stay up to hand out any candy though. She was fast asleep by 7pm. We tried. And I tried to take a photo in the dark of her glowing but it did not show up on camera. It worked though and she looked pretty scary.

Olivia's First Bath

We were waiting and waiting for her cord to fall off so that I could give her a bath. Just one of those things you really look forward to. Finally it happened and here is a pic. She was so happy to sit in warm water. It was too funny!

Grand Parents Visit.....

I have not posted in a long time... hard to find some quiet time. Currently we are doing great. We had Marks parents over for several weeks to see their first grandchild. While they were here we were able to make it out with Olivia on a couple dinner outings and shopping trips. She is a good evening baby.... sleeps through dinner... yeah! Not sure how long that will last but it was nice to get out and about. The weather was beautiful on just a couple days which is odd for this time of year. Normally we do not have much rain but Mark was able to take his dad out for a couple rounds of golf. They had a good time. I attached some pics from their visit.

We also celebrated a milestone...... Marks parents 40th wedding anniversary. With a new baby it is hard to throw a big party but we were able to go out for a nice dinner and have a celebretory cake cutting ceremony to share with everyone back in Ireland. Pics are below. Lets hope we all make it 40 years.......

First Doctor Visit

We took Olivia on Wednesday to her first Doctor visit and she got an A plus. She has gained about an ounce since leaving the hospital which they said was perfect. Well on her way to super stardum!!!!!!!!!!

Activities

So far she loves her Little Lamb seat and her Tummy Time Mat. I think she came out of me being able to lift her head so we thought we would try her mat out. She did very well for a couple minutes and then she was about done for the day.

More Photos

Just a couple more pics from one of the first days.

Stork Has Arrived

Olivia Marie Gallagher has finally arrived. She was born on Friday September 25th at 6:34pm. She weighed in at 8 pounds and 11 ounces and 21 inches in length. Now I know why I was so uncomfortable the last couple months. Big baby! She is doing well and so are her parents. We are just getting used to the first week with her and every minute has been the happiest minute of our lives. We never thought we could love someone so much. I am just going to post some photos for everyone in no particular order as that would take a lot of brain power that I dont have right now. Enjoy!

33 Weeks and Summer is Almost Over

Well I am at 33 weeks. I feel good most of the time - although Mark may say I complain otherwise. Baby is doing very well and we are all on track for our new addition. Mark and I are pretty much just waiting. We have all her furniture for her room but are waiting to assemble things till we figure out where we are going to be. Looks like we will be moving while I am on maternity leave. Work is going well for both of us - no troubles on that front. The summer here is almost over (or at least when the out of towners stop coming and kids go back to school). While we have enjoyed the good sunny weather we are looking forward to and end to all the tourists. All the crowds go away and it is much calmer getting out and about. Mark is very proud of his summer tan! I attached a most up to date photo of him and all his glory! I cant believe I got him to like going to the sandy beaches. I remember when we first got her we went one time and now seems like we are there every weekend. Anyhoo that is it for now. Again not much going on but the wait and see game.

Best Peanut Butter Cookie Recipe......

So some know but I am obsessed with making cookies for some reason lately. My mom has the best oatmeal cookie recipe and I have to restrain myself from making them daily but I found this simple recipe for peanut butter cookies and the best part is there is just 3 ingredients. 1 Cup peanut butter, 1 cup sugar and 1 egg. How simple is that. Mix, place on cookie sheet and press down with the back of a fork going horizontal and vertical to make indents in the dough. you can also sprinkle a little sugar on the tops. Then bake at 350 for 10 minutes. You have to let them cool completely otherwise they will fall apart but they are the best and easy to make. yummmmyyy..............................

"Memories"
While I was playing around with the camera I came across some old photos that are simple precious memories. These just make me chuckle. These were photos of Marks Mom and Dad and Aunt and Uncle saluting as we visited the Battleship NC while they were visiting us last year. I just die laughing and that is a good thing these days. Thanks for the memories Mam and Dad and Uncle Frank and Auntie B!!!!!!!!!!! We love you and miss you.

"27 Weeks Pregnant"
Since our families are so far away now that we moved to South Carolina I have posted my 27 week photo. I have just accepted the big belly. Only 13 more weeks till Olivia should be here. hopefully she is on time. The way she is kicking up a storm I think she may be right on time or a little early.

"A Day at The Beach"

With Olivia on the way we are making the most of the summer outside here in SC while I can handle the heat. Some photos of our days at the beach. Wish everyone could come down and visit and stay awhile - you are all welcome. Mark was getting rays while I was sitting under my umbrella - no sun rays for me this summer. Mark is working on his tan!!!!!!!!

"Newest Poison Fan"

Mark got Olivia her first Poison outfit! And no Grandma's she is not wearing this home from the hospital!!!!!!!!!! I promise. At least it has a pink border.

The "Great Escape"

"The Great Escape"

Mark and I were finally able to find a great little cabin in the woods in North Carolina to take the dogs on a little weekend getaway. We all had a great time. The weather was a little rainy at times but we spend some "quality" family time together and it was nice to be able to have the girls with us. They are not liking kennels these days as they get a little older.

New York - I am King

"King of the World"
Here is where Mark climbed the stands to get his "King of the World" 5 minutes of fame while we were in New York. Love it.

Our trip to new York

"Trip to New York City" Finally..................

We made our "my" first trip to New York. Here are some photos of the trip. We had a great time and finally got to see Times Square and the Staue of Liberty. We met up with Aidan and Kate (Marks brother and sister in law) who were over to celebrate their anniversary. We were very lucky to be able to see them and spend a couple days with them. We thank them for letting us crash their little get away. We wish we could see them more often. And best of all Olivia received her first teddy bear compliments of the her Aunt and Uncle at the M&M store!!!!!!!!!
